Digital Shokunin annoucned on Friday that it is producing an anime adaptation of manga creator Amahara 's 33-sai Dokushin Onna Kishi Taichō (33 Years Old Single Girl Knight Captain [sic]) manga. The project's YouTube channel is streaming a music video with a song titled "Boogieing Dance Kishi" (Boogieing Dance Knights) with vocals by Sekka, composition and arrangement by Suzumi, and lyrics by Sekka and Suzumi. The sex comedy fantasy manga centers on the titular 33-year-old girl and knight captain Mail, as well as her friends, who all suffer from exploitative work conditions and are too busy to sate their sexual desires. They spend what little free time they have drinking and pleasuring themselves.
Amahara launched the manga in KATTS ' online adult manga magazine Ananga Ranga in October 2015, where it is still ongoing irregularly, with every new chapter often only being one or two pages long. Flex Comics published the manga's fourth compiled book volume on January 15.
Amahara and masha 's similar sex comedy fantasy manga Interspecies Reviewers ( Ishuzoku Reviewers ) first ran as a special one-shot in Kadokawa 's Monthly Dragon Age magazine in July 2016, and then later launched in the Dra Dra Sharp# section of the Nico Nico Seiga website in August 2016. Kadokawa published the manga's 12th compiled book volume on October 9. Yen Press licensed the manga and released the 11th volume on April 28.
The manga inspired a television anime premiered in January 2020. Funimation removed the series from its streaming service later in January, stating the company "determined that this series falls outside of [its] standards." The company stated it decided to take down the series altogether instead of altering the content. Amazon Prime Video removed both the English-dubbed and English-subtitled versions of the anime in the first week of February 2020. Right Stuf later licensed and released the anime uncensored on Blu-ray Disc in December 2021.
Amahara serialized the original web manga version of The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace ( Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi ) manga on the Neetsha website, but abruptly halted it in May 2016. Coolkyoushinja launched a remake of the manga in Hakusensha 's Young Animal magazine in August 2018. The manga caught up to the older online version of the manga in early 2023, and ended in August 2024. Hakusensha released the manga's ninth and final volume in October 2024. Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the manga in English, and it released the ninth volume in November 2025. The manga inspired an anime that premiered on Fuji TV 's Noitamina programming block in July 2021. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
