Fist of the North Star creator Tetsuo Hara and The Pokémon Company announced on Friday that the legendary manga artist has drawn card art for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Hara illustrated the "Maxie's Passion" Special Art Rare card for the forthcoming Hadō Seeker set launching on November 27. Hara said he hoped fans would enjoy the art as much as the "Palafin EX" Special Art Rare card he illustrated in December 2024.

The original Maxie Special Art Rare illustration is set to go on display at the Pokémon Center MEGA TOKYO location in Ikebukuro between November 30, 2026 and January 11, 2027.
Hara is the artist behind Fist of the North Star , Fist of the Blue Sky , The Magnificent Bastard: The Legend of Keiji , and Ikusa no Ko - Oda Saburō Nobunaga Den , among others. He has also provided card art for Magic: The Gathering in 2023, promotional art for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and promotional art for McDonald's Japan . Hara currently serves as a board member for Coamix Inc.
